About Elizabeth

At the age of 14, I was a candy-striper at a local hospital. At age 16 I was in a serious car accident and was hospitalized for an extended period of time. I received exceptional and dedicated care during that time which inspired my 37-year nursing career. Throughout my career I had approximately 10 years of experience in adult and senior care in an out-patient setting and an additional 2 years in home-care. I was a Licensed Practical Nurse initially and then advanced my education to become a Registered Nurse. I have CPR training ( not currently certified ) and First Aid Training . I adapt to changing routines, and handle confusion, agitation, or behavioral changes with patience. I believe in open communication, preferring to connect with families in person or by phone to discuss their loved one's well-being. Being open, approachable and trustworthy as well as a good listener are very important qualities to have.
