I'd describe my personality as nurturing, creative, energetic. I like working with kids because I'm a parent! My daughter is 10 years old with T1D, so I have a special eye for medical needs and an emergency stash of snacks at all times too. I'm looking for a family that needs a mom-level skilled nanny to keep the kids safe healthy and enriched while the parents work and play! I started working with kids when I was a teen over a decade ago, watching 5 kids under 8. Then I had a steady job watching an infant for the first year of his life. After college, I watched (chaperoned) a troubled teen for 3 yrs. Her parents still call me to help her with job searches now that she's 18. Since I have a daughter with T1D, I prepare healthy snacks, read body language to know when to ask if they're ok, and stay ahead of injury-prone situations. My skills include gentle yet effective boundary-setting to keep kids and teens safe, piano teaching (I took 12 years of lessons), and creative play.
