About Elizabeth

Hi! My name is Elizabeth. I am 32 years old and currently work in the Copiague School District as a Special Education Teacher. I have been teaching for 7 years. I currently teach in an Autism classroom for 5th grade. Prior to that I taught in an Autism classroom for 2nd/3rd grade, a self contained classroom for 1st/2nd grade, and a 4th grade and 5th grade general education classroom. I went to St. Joseph's College where I received my Bachelors Degree in Speech Communication and Psychology. I then attended Long Island University and received my Masters Degree in Childhood and Special Education in Grades 1-6. I am Reading Level 1 certified and am also currently in the process of receiving my TESOL (teaching English speakers of another language) certification. I love working with children and watching them succeed and grow!
