I was a hospice caregiver for 11 years. My last one was January of 25.' Before that was over 10 years of taking daily care of 6 family members back to back, with some overlaps. I got into it to help my mom get a day off and found out I was good at at. It was multiple family members but still as professional a job I have ever done. I learned how to change briefs, feed, change clothes, all the things. As my grandmother was bed bound for 8 years. We took notes on everything as to be on the safe side, and keep up with medications, etc. hospice wanted to interview my mom because her great aunt was on hospice a while and they saw how she she did things well. It was tough times as it was all that was going on. And it can be emotional and just tough. Even though I do not want to pursue it full time I would help someone out if needed. Anyone being a caregiver I want you to know you are not alone. God sees you and hears you. Be blessed.
