About Elise

Hello! My name is Elise and I have been active in tutoring for a long time. I volunteered at the tutoring center in my high school assisting students who were struggling in every subject but specifically with mathematics. When I was a child, I struggled a lot with math and have found that my experience struggling has helped me understand and adapt to each learner's learning strategies. One of my proudest moments in that academic center was when of the students I was tutoring told me it was the first time they had ever understood what they were doing in a math class. I also volunteered at my high school's writing center and currently work at the writing center at my college! I love writing and assisting with idea development. I believe that that idea development is a crucial part of the writing process, especially in the age of AI. I believe that writing can be something that is fun and exciting for everyone!
