Hi, I'm Elise! I enjoy tutoring because it is very satisfying to see someone understand something that they initially had a difficult time with. I also love watching people get more confident in their own abilities. I started tutoring when I was in my freshman year of high school. I had always helped my classmates and peers with homework and assignments prior to formal tutoring, but I began tutoring formally in Algebra and Biology during high school. Additionally, I tutored Physics for a sophomore in high school for around a year. Throughout high school, I have received perfect scores on grammar benchmarks in high school and I am also at an advanced level of mandarin chinese. I have now been taking chinese for 14 years. My strengths include patience, breaking problems down in different ways, and being kind and thoughtful during moments of frustration. In general, I enjoy helping people learn and I love being around kids. I am happy to help with anything at all!
