About Elisa

I graduated from Saint John's University in May 2016 with a bachelor's in Administrative Studies and a minor in Italian. I worked in a daycare for summers 2012-2015, with children ranging from ages 2 to 12. As a teacher assistant, I helped with feeding, potty training, diaper changing, and homework. I volunteered in a school for deaf children, particularly dealing with children who have special needs in addition to deafness. I assisted in playing games and teaching basic sign to them. From January to June 2015, I babysat a special needs 7-year-old boy in Brooklyn on the weekends who is deaf, has cerebral palsy, and has learning disabilities. I used basic sign language to communicate with him.
