Liz was a godsend at a difficult time with my mom, who was unable to manage alone at home but refusing assistance. Liz instantly created a bond with her, communicated with me long-distance and helped me create a plan. After moving my mother into a continuing-care facility at the independent level, Liz served as my eyes and ears, visiting when I could not and helping my mom physically and emotionally with the transition. Liz assisted with daily tasks, meds monitoring and personal care, but also provided emotional support, bringing in delicious food and offering heartfelt concern and strength to my mom. When my mother fractured a limb, Liz easily moved into full-on nursing mode, assisting with toileting, pain management and household tasks. She helped me navigate situations of incompetency at the facility and became a confidante during an emotional roller coaster ride; she was available, generous and intuitive.
