About Elijah

I had the privilege of helping care for my grandfather, a veteran who was wheelchair-bound, and that experience shaped me in ways I didn't expect. Being involved in his daily care taught me patience, attentiveness, and responsibility. I helped with everyday tasks--making sure he was comfortable, assisting with mobility, preparing meals, and just being there to keep him company. Over time, I learned how important small acts of care can be, especially for someone who depends on others. More than just the physical responsibilities, I gained a deep appreciation for the emotional side of senior care. Spending time with him, listening to his stories, and understanding his needs helped me develop empathy and strong communication skills. It also made me realize how much dignity and respect matter when caring for older adults.
