We hired Ellie to be my mom's caretaker when she was living with us from 11/2025 to 05/2026. During those 6 months, Ellie visited my mom at least 3x a week to help her cook her favorite Indian meals, bathe, clean, and do laundry. When she wasn't doing certain tasks, Ellie would "hang out" with my mom and talk to her, keep her company, and sometimes take her out to go shopping. Through all of this, Ellie was extremely reliable, consistent, and did high quality work. My mom's room was always clean. The food she made was enjoyed by my mom. She even pitched in when my kid's nanny wasn't able to come in by doing dishes. Ellie was open and transparent in communication. In the few instances she wasn't able to make it in due to personal reasons, she let us know ahead of time and offered alternative options to make up her time. Ellie was also extremely patient with my mom. English is my mom's second language, and she doesn't always understand the cultural expectations of being American. Ellie understood all of that and was able to work with my mom in a way that made my mom feel comfortable and well-cared for. Highly recommend hiring Ellie for your senior caregiving needs.
