About Eliane

First, I am passionate about language learning. My first is Portuguese (Brazil), then comes French, English, Spanish and Italian. I know that there are so many people who struggle to learn, so I am grateful for this gift. I also believe that it can bring people together and I love the idea. My second passion is volunteering. Why? I met a friend in college a few years ago, who worked in a senior living, she invited me to come and volunteer with them. After participating in all kinds of volunteer positions, caring for the elderly was my first experience. I helped with personal care, nails, companionship, food, reading news, exercises and lots of conversation (that's what I'm really good at). I always thought about the positive influence I can have on their lives and on mine. To be honest, they had a big influence on my life, even without knowing it. Since most of them suffered from Alzheimer's, they didn't know who I was, but I still enjoyed being around them.
