Hello, my name is Elena. I have worked with/for several seniors for almost a 2 years, assisting them in everyday routines such as cooking and light cleaning. I, also, provided them with verbal/emotional support when it was needed and in doing so, made great friends out of my clients. I am looking for a part-time position where my responsibilities could include, but are not limited to cooking, light cleaning, doing laundry, running errands, and driving to/from appointments. Lena was referred by a family friend who employs her for housekeeping and other activities she needs assistance with. My mother was at home, bed bound Hospice for several months. She was unable to steady/coordinate her hands to feed herself or drink. I had bad experiences with agencies so Lena was an absolute God send. She took amazing care of my mother who felt safe with Lena. In addition, the house was sparkling when I came home, a bonus. She is self directed and takes initiative. I still have Lena come to help me sort 'stuff', the keep, donate, sell. I am easily distracted and wander off task, I rely on her to keep me focused :-).
