About Eleanor

I have extensive experience in education as a teacher and tutor. I work currently as an assistant teacher with the toddler classroom at The Cobb Montessori School in Simsbury and want to supplement my work there with private tutoring. Teaching with the Montessori philosophy at The Cobb School has deepened my appreciation for fostering a strong sense of independence and confidence in my students. I have experience working with children of all ages and abilities. During my time as the Program Assistant at the Oak Hill School in Hebron, I developed lesson plans and assisted the classroom programming for our high school students with developmental disabilities. Additionally, I worked as a Service Coordinator with Connecticut's BirthToThree program and coordinated care for families whose children presented developmental delays. I worked in the Middletown public school system as a middle school math tutor and as a 9th grade biology teacher for a summer preparatory program.
