About Elba

I am a retiree, mother and wife of an aged and very ill Parkinson's man. We are baby boomers . We worked hard and long hours never thinking about getting old and sick. Now it happens -we need help with daily life. It is a real luck to have Julissa to live with us and help us, for 3 years. She is one of the most extraordinary home aid/helpers I have encountered in 20 years of living with my ill husband. She has a high aptitude for elderly and is very much involved in my husband's healing activities, working with persistence and dedication and often going beyond the regular means to make him feel better. She has developed a series of exercises like dance and singing along for use in providing healing techniques for Parkinson's disabled body. Julissa's care given to my husband has been so original and significant that I really believe that our family's life was not only happy but also extended. It is good for us, but it is also a phenomenal accomplishment for anyone, especially a young woman in a new country. It is also my worth noting that both last year and this year she took over completely preparing food for us, taking us to doctors, following doctors' assignments, with great care and thought. Julissa's personal qualities are as impressive as her accomplishments as caregiver. An extremely kind, sensitive and sensible lady, she has had a difficult family situation for a few years now. She provides emotional support to her mother. Her maturity that she has demonstrated living with us and working for our family leads me to believe she is a valuable asset to our community.
