Hello, I'm Elaine, mom to 3 adult children, 1 entrepreneur & 2 in law enforcement, 'Nonnie' to 2.
I offer occasional care, I travel with families or stay with children as parents travel, date night, weddings/receptions in hotel room, multiple kids at one time. 
I have over 30+ years of child care experience, Degree in Early Childhood Ed and Political Science, Upon my return of 8 years overseas I taught Kindergarten for 6 yrs in Sterling, VA. I was a Certified home day care provider in GA, NY, NC caring for children in my home.
I have experience with children from infants (birth to 1 year), toddlers (1 to 3 years), preschoolers (3 to 5 years), and school-aged (5 to 14 years) & cared for kids with Autism. My last full-time job was a 4m to 6 years old in Rumson, NJ (10/2018-7/2024 
I am a non-smoker and a strong swimmer. *I have 2 Covid vaccine & 2 boosters and all recommended vaccines plus what was needed for working overseas.

Elaine was amazing! She watched our 20 month old daughter in our hotel room while we attended a local wedding. She was the ultimate professional! She was early, kept us updated as to our daughter’s routine, and had her sleeping by bedtime. She was so kind and great with our daughter, who had the best time. Elaine also provided us wonderful references during the booking process. Would highly recommend her.

We hired Elaine to manage a kids' room at our wedding in December.  There were a total of 10 kids ranging in age from 2 to 13, and Elaine managed to keep them all happy, safe, and entertained during the time they were with her.  We originally wanted to hire two sitters, because that's a lot of kids, but Elaine reassured us that she was experienced and capable of providing care for the whole group, so we went with her guidance!  We also thought the big kids wouldn't use the kids' room, but they were all so excited that there was a special space for them, that Elaine ended up having the entire group for a period of time.  She managed them all flawlessly!

All of the parents at our wedding had marvelous things to say about Elaine.  The kids were all happy and had an absolute blast coming and going from the kids' room back to the wedding to dance (with their parents, of course).  The little kids who stayed with Elaine for the duration of the night were safe, happy, and content--even the ones who were a little reluctant to leave their parents.  Elaine was also very attuned to safety.  One mom reported to us that her kid tried to come back down to the wedding with another child's parent, but Elaine gently but firmly told him that he needed to wait for his own mom to come get him (Awesome job, Elaine!).  Parents have told us after the fact that the kids' room was one of the highlights of the wedding for both them and their kids. 

Elaine was also very easy to work with to coordinate logistics.  She reached out to us several times in the lead up to our event to check in and confirm, which was very reassuring during the chaos of planning a wedding with many moving parts.  She was very responsive to texts.  When she was with children, she would respond to us that she was currently with kids but would get back to us later that evening, and then she did.  She's just all around responsible, communicative, and reassuring.

We would recommend Elaine to anyone in the Jersey Shore area, including for a big, messy, chaotic event like a wedding.  We are so grateful to Elaine for helping make our big day so special.  Thanks, Elaine!!

Elaine was wonderful! She watched our 3 year old and 9 month old when we were in town for a wedding and they had the best time. She was responsive, sweet and asked all the right questions about our little ones. We would definitely recommend Elaine! 

Elaine was wonderful. She cared for our 2 year old on two consecutive nights while we were in town for a wedding, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. This was our first time using Care.com, so we were a little nervous, but Elaine immediately put us at ease. She was warm, reliable, and clearly experienced with young children. We felt completely comfortable leaving our son with her. She also provided us with references beforehand. Highly recommend Elaine!

Elaine was fantastic. I have 3 children 3yo and under and she was able to keep some calm in the chaos! Wonderful with babies and with calm boundaries with my toddlers. 

I was initially nervous about leaving my 6 month old with someone I hadn’t met before, but Elaine put me at ease right away. She sent me references, arrived on time, and was very professional & kind. She followed my instructions closely and kept me updated throughout the evening, which help me relax and enjoy the wedding I was attending. I felt my daughter was in great hands. Elaine is wonderful! Very reliable, responds in a timely manner and always shows up before scheduled time which my husband and I truly appreciate. She plays with the kids, not just "watches" them which is so important. Highly recommend!

We have been very fortunate to have Elaine in our lives. We needed someone who could provide care for our child while she was at school and while we were at work. She is warm, nurturing and really cares about each one of our family members. She also cooks healthy meals for our child, which is important because we're very busy and don't always have time to cook. Our child absolutely adores her!

Miss Elaine is dependable, warm, kind, and fun! My daughter enjoys her visits, and Miss Elaine leaves the house immaculate - and even finished my laundry for me!

Elaine Was an Absolute joy , We contacted her last minute and we were lucky that she was available at such short notice , Elaine was extremely accommodating and efficient.. our Daughter said she was Amazing (in her words) we'll definitely use her again !

We hired Elaine as a night nanny for our 1 month old son. She has been a great help to us during this difficult period. Elaine is very kind, caring, and attentive. She is a wonderful caregiver and is very good with children. She was able to help with diaper changing & bottle feeding, and she even got him to sleep soundly for long stretches in the night. She also came in the afternoons sometimes when we needed her and had no problems with flexible scheduling. We would highly recommend Elaine!




We met Elaine this past week and she cared for my 16 month old baby girl. We loved Elaine! She was punctual, very knowledgeable and flexible. My daughter took to Elaine immediately and Elaine was wonderful with her! We wish we met Elaine sooner and will definitely be keeping in touch with her and hopefully using her more soon! Very highly recommended!
