About Elaine

When my dad was sick with cancer, I was his primary caretaker. I did everything from bathing to feeding to managing medication. He needed constant watching as he would try to get out of bed but wasn't strong doing to stand. It was a difficult but ultimately rewarding time. I was happy to be able to be there when he needed me. When a parent is sick and needing more care, it can place a enormous strain on the entire family, as they struggle to figure out how to keep them safe and happy.
