I was the primary caretaker for my mother and her husband during Heart failure and through hospice. I'm a recently retired professional pastry chef who can also prep or cook nutritious meals. I have an intuitive sense when it comes to caring for others and I understand the increasing stages of extended care and am able to put practices in place to ensure the health and safety of your loved one. I'm happy to clean, run errands and accompany your loved ones to appointments. I would love to help your family member stay in their own home safely.

Elaine is incredible - she has been able to connect with my Mom (who has moderate dementia) in ways other caregivers have been unsuccessful in doing and my brother and I are deeply grateful. She is communicative, dependable, flexible, accommodating, and has a great disposition. She's funny and Mom has shared some good laughs with her. Elaine is also responsive to our ever changing needs and Mom's sometimes unpredictable moods. Having a loved one with dementia is so very difficult, and Elaine has been a god send helping us and Mom through this difficult life stage. She also is very insightful, thoughtful, and caring about Mom's needs. She deserves more than 5 stars, but that's all Care.com offers ;).
