About Elaine

Hi! My name is Elaine. I'm newborn care specialist and student midwife who loves supporting families as they welcome a new baby. I often begin with families in the last few days of pregnancy, helping them prepare for birth and the transition home with their baby. If requested, I'm also present at the hospital after baby arrives, caring for the newborn so parents can focus on recovery, bonding, and rest. Once families return home, I typically continue with 4-6 weeks of overnight care, handling feedings, diaper changes, soothing, and monitoring baby so parents can get meaningful sleep during the early postpartum weeks. I'm very flexible with when support begins. Some families like help before birth, while some reach out once they're already home and realize an extra set of hands overnight would help. I'm happy to meet families wherever they are. I'm also working toward my IBCLC, so while I'm not a lactation consultant yet, I'm actively studying and happy to support feeding goals.
