About Egla

I'm a physics educator with bachelor's and master's degrees in physics and 3 years of experience teaching at a private boarding school, working with students in grades 7-12 inside and outside the classroom. My specialty is physics education with a flair for science mentoring. In 1:1 tutoring, I focus not only on the next assignment, but on helping students understand how they think and develop tools for making sense of physics. Physics is a conversation--I invite students to share their ideas so we can build from what they already know. I've created curriculum, projects, and learning experiences around students' interests and strengths. I also enjoy collaborative learning for students who thrive alongside a classmate or friend.
