I have been doing home care for 18 years now. I'm able to do personal care, showers, assist in dressing, toileting, medicine reminders, light housekeeping, laundry, will take to or assist with appointments, errands if needed. Also, I have experience with dementia and hospice patients.

Anyone looking for home care for loved ones would be so lucky to get Edie! We hired her approx 1 year ago to assist my mother who is very resistant to help in the home and Edie has won her over. Edie is punctual, kind, a great communicator, funny and seems to pack so much into her visits yet still takes the time to visit with my mother. She goes above and beyond, not only with patient care but in trying to assist us in finding other caregivers as well.  We have complete trust in her and so grateful she was available! 

Edie is exceptional. I hired her to work with my mom in law who had dementia and mobility issues - she was amazing with her. I then referred her to work with a relative who was resistant to care but quickly found Edie to be a gem. Edie is sincere, patient, gentle, knowledgeable, dependable, and has excellent judgement. Edie took care of my 97 year old neighbor Helen for many , many years. She is a very caring dedicated person. When it comes to going above and beyond that's Edie! I always checked on Helen and she always told me she wouldn't be hear if it wasn't for Edie taking such good care of her. Any time a different person came on alternate days they were late or literally didn't show up at all. Helen lived alone with a short visit once a week from her son. It would break my heart seeing her alone. She was always excited to see Edie! Also Edie makes great cookies, waters plants brings books over to read and anything needed Edie did. I noticed a notebook that Edie kept great notes about every visit from day to day. Regarding things they talked about and her eating habits giving her a bath etc. Really impressed I worked for a Dr. and Edie took better notes than me by far! She is super organized and gets to know every unique thing about every person. Edie has a way with people that keeps them happy.

Edie is trustworthy, caring, professional and goes above and beyond to care for my parents. She is punctual, takes on extra shifts, works independently and is a GREAT aides-team member. She has a wonderful sense of humor and can sense a client's needs immediately.

Edie helped me take care of my mother at home for a yr and 8 months. She was very kind considerate and helpful. She was always on time and would stay longer if I needed her I would highly recommend Edie f you need a great caregiver. 

My family employed Edie for over two and a half years.  I know of her work habits, she always was dependable, sensitive to an elderly person s needs, went above and beyond in all duties.  Specifically, when the family member was resting, Edie  performed other household duties to keep the home orderly and clean, did meal or snack preparation, and handled mail, phone calls, or visitors who came to the house.  Edie is totally trustworthy and diligent in her care giving role. I highly recommend her and the great attitude and caring ways she brings to the job.  I have seen her handle stressful situations and she does admirably.  A great skill she brings is the ability to be flexible when dealing with an elderly person who may have changing moods from day to day.  Her ability to work with that and keep the person s trust and cooperation is something that can be taken for granted because she assesses the situation very well and works with it. All in all, she is a very talented and skilled care giver with the highest work ethic and standards.  I highly recommend her as a resource for Care.com and the clients it serves.
 
 

Our family cannot praise Edie enough. She has been a huge asset to our home care team for nearly two years! 
She is reliable, trustworthy, conscientious and hard working, as well as kind, considerate, generous and fun! 
Our mom is moving into an assisted living community where she will have 24 hr care available, and we are really going to miss Edie.
