I am a retired art teacher and medical journalist. Most my life I have had pets as companions. Although I was not paid for, I was a vice-president for a volunteer rescue organisation, and able to gain experience in humane treatment of homeless cats and domesticating ferals. My husband and I have 4 cats. All the cats we have had were strays or ferals that we were able to domesticate or find suitable homes for.
