About Ebony

I've worked at an elementary school for a year and a half now and have worked with children ages 4-10. Everyday I work with kindergartners and coordinate with my teacher about students individual progress to establish study groups of 4-5 children. The purpose of said study groups is to facilitate student learning in specific subjects that they may have had difficulty understanding. I rotate groups throughout the day for maximum results. Moreover, I constantly tend to these children. I supervise them and participate while they play recess, walk them to lunch, encourage them to eat their meals before they eat snacks, keep them on schedule throughout the day to avoid breaking routine, reward progress, problem solve during disagreements, give hugs as many times and for as long as a child needs, and do my best to provide a safe space for all of them. After school, I work with 3rd graders!
