About Drew

I started working with kids when I was 12, babysitting and working in the nursery at church. Being the third of four children with two older sisters and a younger brother, I've always loved being around kids and was happy to turn that passion into a job. I worked as a camp counselor for 2 summers with ages 5-14. I'm in college and hoping to become a pediatrician. I enjoy working with kids because they are fun and creative. They live with joy and imagination, and if you're lucky enough some of their happiness will rub off on you too. My skills include patience, energy and connection. I pride myself on being able to deal with children's issues well. I can be firm when needed but keep a calm, patient presence with kids. I am engaged at all times. Whatever the children want to do, I want to do. I approach all activities with energy. Through this I build connection and trust with the kids, which is the most important part. I am CPR/First Aid Certified and have a valid drivers license.
