About Drea

Our family had the pleasure of having Andrea M. nanny for us for nearly a year and a half for our son. When she started with us our son was 4 months old, and it was evident from the start that we had found someone who could integrate into our daily routines with reliability and expertise. We greatly enjoyed having Andrea as a member of our family and continue to appreciate her contributions to our son's development. Andrea's greatest attributes are her commitment to the child (or children) entrusted to her care, her exceptional reliability, and her dedication to helping maintain a clean and well functioning household. Without question, Andrea held (and holds) a true regard for our son. He would greet her with excitement each morning, and she struck a good balance between playmate and correcting inappropriate behaviors (with the calm gentleness appropriate for a very young child). One of the things we appreciated most would be the routine (and often unsolicited) "check-ins via text/picture message. There's nothing more comforting than seeing your child smiling with his nanny while you are traveling for business (as an example). Indeed, while circumstances required that daycare become an option for our family, Andrea has worked to maintain a connection with us and our son (who still greets Andrea with a big smile). Andrea always arrived early to settle in a few minutes prior to her start time , and in the very rare instances a minor deviation to her schedule was needed, she would provide significant advance notice (i.e. in 2 weeks she would need to leave 30 min early). It's hard to convey how much her reliability meant to us. If she said she would be there, we could depend on it. In the same vein, Andrea worked hard to be flexible for any changes to our normal schedule (which were not infrequent), and we greatly appreciated the fairly routine night out with her gladly providing extended coverage (of course being planned in advance). In this way, our core schedule was covered with certainty, and much in the way of extended flexible coverage was routinely provided as long agreed in advance. As for helping keep a clean and smoothly running household, Andrea would not only perform routine cleaning-up/organizing for our son, but on occasion would take full initiative to box up clothes that our son had grown out of and even organized our kitchen pantry! We like to keep a clean house and Andrea was a very helpful participant in that effort during her time with us. In short, Andrea was an exceptional nanny to our son and a valued member of our extended family.
