Hi there! I'm Shea, a loving mother of two and proud grandmother of seven. I recently moved to beautiful Eastern North Carolina to spend precious time with my newest grandbaby. With over 25 years of experience, I have spent my life nurturing young children through my childcare service.

I'm excited to care for a small, close-knit group of little ones right here in the Winterville/Greenville area. I love engaging with children outdoors, telling stories, and following their lead in play. I'd be delighted to hear from you if you think I might be a good fit for your family!

Amazing sitter! She’s our go to person when we need help. Our daughter has so much fun and I know she will be safe and well cared for while we are out. 

As a first-time mom, I was extremely nervous about sending my son to childcare after maternity leave. The thought alone was overwhelming. From the moment I connected with Ms. Shea, those fears began to melt away.

We first FaceTimed so she could walk us through her home and setup, and shortly after, we visited in person with our son so we could get to know each other. From the start, Ms. Shea was warm, intentional, and thoughtful. She asked detailed questions about our son, his routines, and how we care for him at home — making it clear that her goal was to mirror what he’s used to and help him feel safe and comfortable.

What truly sets Ms. Shea apart is the level of attention and care she gives. She notices the little things — a runny nose, a slight cough — sometimes even before we do. As parents, that kind of awareness means everything and makes us feel like our child is genuinely being watched over, not just “looked after.”

Ms. Shea is also incredibly reliable, timely, and flexible, which is such a gift for working parents and something you don’t often find in a traditional daycare setting. Every morning when I drop my son off, I feel complete peace of mind knowing he will be loved, have fun, and be so well cared for.

If you’re a parent — especially a first-time mom — looking for a safe, nurturing, and loving in-home daycare, I truly cannot recommend Ms. Shea enough

We are so grateful to have found Dorzia! She took wonderful care of our children and treated them like family. Her home setup is incredibly inviting, clean, fun, and thoughtfully stocked with activities and learning materials in the children’s playroom. She took the little ones to the park and museum, kept me updated with messages and made sure both my son and baby girl were happy and well cared for. She even sent pictures throughout the day, which gave me so much peace of mind. Highly recommend—she truly cares for children and it shows! She is kind, detailed, and caring. She was even flexible & graciously willing to work with me on adjusting my dropoff/pickup time which was truly appreciated. It is certainly a blessing & a pleasure to have Dorzia as a caretaker for my children. My son can’t stop talking about how much fun he had! Will certainly love to rehire next time I’m in the Durham area. She’s awesome. 5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ms. Shae has been such an incredible blessing for our family. She is consistent,  kind, organized, and our child absolutely loves her. 

Shea has been amazing with our 2 month old! She has made going back to work so much easier for me knowing our little one is in good hands! 

She’s used to run a daycare in Atlanta and is super skilled and professional. She’s also flexible and easy-going and truly loves spending time with the kids. She likes to take them on walks in the Duke Gardens or to the local playground. She has a great setup at her place with child-sized furniture and some really great play setup. She’s also happy to come to you and even drive the child home after babysitting. It’s really great to work with her and I know my daughter is in caring and capable hands! 

Shea always provides such a warm, caring environment for my kiddo! My daughter has a wonderful time and is fully engaged throughout the day.

Ms. Shea has been absolutely amazing with our baby. As first time parents, we were nervous about sending her to daycare. But because of Ms. Shea's kindness, patience, and overall attentiveness, the transition went extremely well. Our baby girl loves Ms. Shea and has made friends during daycare! 

Our daughter is typically shy when meeting new people, but from the moment she met Ms. Shay, she felt completely comfortable and even jumped into her arms. She truly enjoys her time at Ms. Shay’s home and looks forward to playing with the other children. We highly recommend Ms. Shay to any family looking for a caring, trustworthy, and welcoming babysitter.

Ms. Shay has truly been a blessing to our family. We needed part-time childcare with flexible hours, and she was able to completely meet our needs. She is always understanding if we’re running a few minutes late for pick up or drop off. Most importantly ,  our son loves her! We would highly recommend !

Our family had childcare plans within, early, first trimester. As I entered into maternity leave and eventually returned to work, those childcare plans fell through. In my family’s pinch for care, I relied on aging parents and in laws to fill in gaps; however, learned quickly that the task was becoming too fatiguing. 

Fortunate for me, I met Shea (D.) here on care.com. In challenges there can be blessings to find, and I count Shea as mine. She cared for my 4 month old daughter with patience, consistency, and love. Shea is dependable, communicative and kind. Her space is child-suited and is a great safe, educational space to play with other children. I was able to continue with full time work and no longer worry about where my daughter was going from day to day.  I was able to return to work in peace. 

It became easy to see that my daughter loves Shea. She was considered special, hugged, and nurtured like all the other children in Shea’s care. 

You will quickly find a blessing in Shea with your family as well. 

Shea has been doing a phenomenal job caring for our child. We toured several daycares in the area and felt the best about Shea. Our daughter really enjoys going and learning. Shea has decades of experience in childcare, she is very organized, and communicates very well. She provides written reports each day and sends pictures. She’s like a grandma to our child, which is great since we don’t have local family. 

Mrs. H. provided a safe, clean and loving environment for my daughter E. She took care of my daughter for many years. The level of education my daughter learned while being taking care of by Mrs H. had her totally prepared when she started school. She is polite &amp; professional to parents &amp; their children and make it easy for you to work knowing your child is in a loving &amp; secure environment. 

She was a wonderful caregiver for my infant and toddler. Not only did they enjoy a home away from home, but they benefited from her healthful cooking and education. My 3 year old mastered many preschool concepts in his time with her before he turned 3. She was also flexible with my crazy schedule and needs. I wish we could have taken her with us when we relocated.

She is an outstanding caregiver. She has  been caring and nurturing children for over 30 years! She creates a safe, loving, healthy and clean environment for children to flourish and grow. Her  impeccable background, beautiful personality that screams I care is the best! She is a mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and daughter.  Her experience and training in this industry has been a proven track record and a testament of the years and time she’s dedicated to her profession of working with children. I will recommend her for any of your long term or short term needs.  She is a true legend that has experience with all age children and cultures! She’s the best!
