About Dorrie

Hi! I'm a part-time teacher who provides care for your children at my home or at yours on school holidays, teacher work days, and snow days. I also provide backup nanny care and occasional care for date nights and overnight engagements. I can assist with homework and I love being engaged with young people by talking, playing games indoors and out, and in general being active. I watch children of all ages from infants to teens. I have been caring for children (other than my own) on and off for the past 35 years. I have a BS degree in Biology and took extra courses to become a certified teacher of all the sciences for the high school level. My certification has expired. I presently teach an Honors Life Science course to 7th graders and Honors Biology to 9th graders at a local home school co-op.
