About Dorothy

I'm a child care provider. I have been in business for 16 years. I take care of children from newborn to 5 years of age and after school children 5-12 years of age. I have 5 adult children of my own. Children are my passion. I also raised 2 of my sister's children, their ages: 1 child newborn and the other child 6 months of age. I raised them with my children. Out of the 16 years of child care, I have cared for over 100 children which has been a blessing to my parents and myself. My philosophy is based on a belief that learning and fun becomes one. I help strengthen each child's identity, while instilling a respect for others. I recognize that learning is taking place at all times and that all growth is in spurts, with plateaus in between for integration of new learning. I approach the child as a total entity, a person, not just as a child. I make sure your child is always in a secure and nurturing environment filled with interesting materials, activities, and concepts to enhance all aspects of the child's own development.
