About Dorothea

I am a recent college graduate with a degree in English, a car, and a great enthusiasm for childcare! I am very passionate about both childhood education and fun, and want to help your child read, create and explore as deeply and safely as possible. I have worked as a French teacher and caregiver at Canoe Island French camp, and have experience planning lessons in Art, music, outdoor recreation and French, and helping children find strategies to overcome learning challenges. I can assist with homework in various other subjects (such as math, science, french, history) up to and potentially above a mid-high school level, and help your children learn to use a planner and cultivate healthy study habits. I can also grocery shop, meal plan, and cook balanced and delicious meals for your family within your budget, and will complete household tasks, such as laundry and light cleaning. I have an OSHA compliant certification in pediatric and adult first Aid/CPR/AED. I'm excited to meet you!
