About Doris

I cared for my husband 18 years. He suffered with dementia and later bladder and brain cancer. I have references if needed. I love animals. I have such a big heart and God has blessed me with so much compassion. My personality is perky, funny, caring, and I find senior care extremely rewarding. I'm looking for a job where I can make a difference. I had many clients over the years. Mostly older folks on hospice. But I also had three clients for three years and another one for six years. This relationship ended when I moved to Colorado. I started caring for seniors when I was 15 years old. As I was not old enough to work, I volunteered at a nursing home in Eureka, Illinois. Later I joined the working team as a nurses aide. In my spare time, I like to relax with my two cats, watch old tv shows, and shop thrift stores. I have lots of stories to tell from my life experiences. I do not have an updated certification for CPR but am willing to get.
