About Doris

When searching for caretaker for our parents, finding someone who embodied compassion, dependability, and empathy was paramount to my husband and I. We were fortunate to find those qualities in Doris who came to our family three years ago. In this time, Doris never arrived late or took a day off she hadn't prearranged with ample notice. Her responsibilities included helping mom out of bed, showering, dressing, administering medication and preparing her meals. She attended medical appts with us and when mom was hospitalized, she kept her company while we worked. Equally important, Doris provided daily companionship, conversation and engagement during the day by reading to mom, listening to music, and telling stories - they developed a sweet friendship. Doris was also a source of comfort during moms transition to hospice care, working closely with the nursing team that came to our home. Thank you Doris, for helping to make this season in moms life the best it could be!
