I have dedicated over 10 years of my life to working with seniors, and my very first patient was my own mother. I was honored to care for her under a CDPDP program through a Home Care Agency. It was a deeply emotional experience as she was unable to physically take care of herself. I made sure to tend to her every need-bathing her, preparing her meals, taking care of her, taking her to appointments, dressing her, and ensuring she took the correct medication. Over time, she developed dementia and became bedridden and eventually passed away in her 90s. my second patient also needed care due to nerve damage on one side of her body, and I approached her needs with the same love and dedication as I did for my mother.
