About Dori

Empowering students to reach their full potential has been my primary focus for the past 10 years. As a Certified Teacher, I specialize in English, Reading, Writing, Social Studues, Science, Test Preparation, and Study Skills for college-level learners. My teaching philosophy centers on building confidence and fostering a genuine love for learning rather than simple memorization. I assess your unique learning style by observing how you interact with new material, then adapt my approach using visual aids, discussions, or hands-on practice. When concepts become challenging, I break them into manageable steps to build momentum and encourage curiosity. I believe clear, consistent communication with both you and your parents is essential to creating a collaborative environment. Nothing is more rewarding to me than witnessing your "aha!" moment when a difficult concept finally clicks. I truly look forward to helping you achieve your academic goals.
