I am a mom to 4 amazing adult children, ages 41, 30, 28, & 26 & a proud grandma to 3 beautiful granddaughters. My last special needs care job was for a gentleman in his 80s who was battling Alzheimer's. I cared for him while he was on hospice and unfortunately, he passed last month. April 2024 I started caring for a beautiful 64-year-old, who had early on sent dementia, unfortunately we lost her on Christmas Eve. In June 2023 through September 2023, I helped a family with their mom who was also dealing with dementia. I've also had a wonderful opportunity of caring for a 24-year-old with Cerebral Palsy. I was responsible feeding her with a G-tube, change her diaper, get her ready for bed, brushing her teeth and sometime put her to bed. This young lady has the mental capacity of a 12-month-old and is she is just beautiful.
