Fostering a child's growth and development is my true passion, and I have dedicated the last 10 years to providing nurturing, proactive care for infants and toddlers. My approach combines engaging age-appropriate activities with a strong focus on patience and emotional regulation. Validating each child's emotions/feelings, helping them to identify and understand them, and guide them toward self-soothing techniques. Im experienced in supporting toddlers through tantrums by modeling calm behavior and offering choices to empower them. I prioritize clear communication with the parents by providing daily reports, photos, and verbal updates at pickup. **Summary:** I am a dedicated, experienced caregiver who blends early childhood education with a warm, proactive approach to help your children thrive.
We feel incredibly lucky to have had Dora as our nanny for the past two years. She cared for our daughter from just 5 months old through toddlerhood, and in that time became such an important, trusted, and genuinely loved part of our family. Dora has a truly special way with children. She is warm, attentive, and incredibly proactive when it comes to keeping little ones engaged and learning. She consistently created thoughtful, homemade activities for her—often themed around seasons or holidays—which made each week feel fun, intentional, and full of discovery. Edith absolutely looked forward to these activities, and it showed in how excited she was to spend time with Dora each day. One of the most remarkable things Dora did was introduce my daughter to Spanish. Through daily interaction, songs, and play, she developed an impressive level of comprehension—quickly surpassing us as parents! It was amazing to watch, and a testament to Dora’s creativity and dedication. Dora handled all aspects of daily care seamlessly, including meals, naps, and playtime. When my daughter was going through a phase of being a difficult sleeper, Dora approached it with patience and flexibility—often holding her for naps when needed without hesitation. That level of care and responsiveness meant so much to us. Most importantly, she adored her. Every morning she would light up, run to Dora, and greet her with a big hug. Even now, she still talks about her and misses her dearly. The bond they built was so genuine, and the growth we saw in her—especially in her learning and comprehension—was incredible. Dora is also exceptionally reliable, trustworthy, and flexible. We always felt completely at ease knowing she was in her care. We are only parting ways because we moved a couple of hours away, and if it had been possible, we would have taken Dora with us without hesitation. Any family would be beyond lucky to have her, and we wholeheartedly recommend her. We would rehire her in a heartbeat.
