I have several years of experience working with children as a nanny, preschool teacher, and a family daycare provider. In addition to my childcare career, I was a stay home mother with my own children for many years. I enjoy nurturing children of all ages and providing them with loving care, fun activities, and learning experiences.

Donna was our only babysitter from when our daughter was three months old to almost four The years old.  Donna was fantastic the entire time.  Donna used her background in education to provide our daughter with a strong foundation for academic development.  Donna taught our daughter how to count and how to recite the alphabet through various games and lesson plans.  Donna was always very active with our daughter taking her to the zoo the park to swim at Donna's house and various activities.  It was apparent to us that Donna very much loved and cared for our daughter which was very reassuring.  We trust Donna with our daughter without reservation and we give her our highest recommendation.

We've been very particular about caretakers for our twins, and consider ourselves immensely lucky to have found Donna. She was our nanny from ages 2 1/2 to 4 1/2, and is still our #1 choice of babysitter. She is a patient, calming presence whom our very intense girls were immediately comfortable around. With her background as a preschool teacher, she has a vast supply of creative, engaging activities and ideas. The kids always have her full attention, and she gets right down with them to play at their level. Any family would be very fortunate to have Donna care for their kids!

We've used Donna as a babysitter over the past year and a half, and she has been wonderful to work with! She does date nights for us, as well as an occasional weekend where she'll stay in our home and take care of our now 22 month old. The last time she stayed over, he had a double ear infection and she was able to help give his ear drops and kept us posted as to how he was progressing. She's also wonderful with our dog and will let him out as needed. She's flexible as to level of communication and is very calm and easy-going.

I've had the pleasure of knowing Donna as a nanny since January 2018 when we started to have regular play dates with my daughter and her charge.  At that time our girls were only 3 months, I saw how quickly Donna had developed a strong bond as a trusted caregiver to her baby.  She has a vast knowledge in early child development and was great at incorporating developmental and sensory activities into the play dates for the girls. She has the highest level of integrity in her profession and is dedicated to the well being of those in her care. I've seen first hand how beloved she is by her charge, she laughed with her, helped her learn and grow, shared in her joy and helped to soothe her pain. My daughter was also quickly welcomed into her heart and continues to benefit from her generous kindness and for that I am so grateful. Donna has been my daughter's full time nanny for over a year, she started with us when my daughter was 3 mons old. My daughter loves Donna very much and is excited every morning to see her, there are no tears when I leave for work only smiles. Donna, is very nurturing, responsible, and flexible with her time. She always finds fun activities for my daughter to do and even creates age appropriate games that challenge her. My daughter's vocabulary has grown tremendously while spending time with Donna. She has taught her animals and their sounds, colors, and songs, and she is only 19 mons old. They take trips to the library for story time and the park to meet play groups. Donna has lots of experience with young children, from her past work experience but also from raising her own children. We have recently decided to start my daughter in a more classroom like atmosphere so unfortunately will be losing Donna but I highly recommend her and plan on keeping in touch with her for sitting needs.

Donna was our provider for over a year. She was excellent with our two boys, who were 4 months and 2.9 years when she started with us. Donna did many arts and crafts with our children and themed lessons with our oldest. She organized play dates and took them on many wonderful adventures to various local farms and play places. We never worried about their safety which was of utmost importance to us. I've been amazed at what our oldest son has learned while under Donna's care! 

I taught with Donna for 2 years in a preschool classroom. She is caring, kind, and patient. Donna provided the children with many age appropriate activities. She encouraged the children to express themselves through music and movement, dramatic play, and art. I have a 4 year old boy; if I ever needed care for him, I would feel 100% comfortable having him in Donna's care. 

I met Donna through a local nanny group and we have become friends. Our charges are similar ages so we frequently plan fun, exciting and educational outings and activities for them. During the time I have spent with Donna I have been very impressed with her skills as a nanny. Donna understands that each child is an individual, and treats them as such.  The children in her care are provided endless opportunities for them to blossom. 

I recall on one particular occasion we visited a playground and then took the children to lunch in a cafe. While this may seem routine, Donna used something as simple as going to a cafe to be a teaching tool for the children and encouraged their use of manners and  appropriate behavior.

She truly enjoys working with and caring for young children, and has a special knack for making learning fun, creating many of her own games and activities. She encourages the children in her care to explore and ask questions, and takes advantage of "teachable moments", allowing them to learn at their own pace. She realizes the importance of social/emotional development and guides children in a positive manner through modeling and positive reinforcement. She is an EEC certified preschool teacher, and continues to explore the field of early childhood education to expand her knowledge and understanding of childhood development. Donna respects the individual needs of each child, and works with parents to help children reach developmental milestones, such as self-help skills, potty training, etc. Most of all, Donna likes to ensure that each child in her care is active and engaged, and feels successful and loved. 

Donna is nurturing and responsive to the children entrusted to her. In turn, Donna builds each child's sense of self through trusting daily interactions. Additionally, Donna brings her preschool teacher experiences and her varied lessons to every child. 

My family and I have known Donna for 15 years now. We met when our children attended elementary /preschool together. Throughout the years, we have spent countless hours and vacations with Donna and her family.  During this time I have witnessed Donna care for several other children as well as my own.  Whether it was a part time nanny position or just taking care of the neighborhood kids after school, she has always been able to easily entertain children of all ages.  She is patient, energetic, creative and fun!  She continuously keeps them entertained with educational projects and activities and is always coming up with an exciting outing or adventure!  Our children are off to college now but will always remember all the childhood memories and fun times spent together!  I would highly recommend Donna for any nanny position and feel she would be a wonderful addition to any family!
