About Donna

I started as a nursing assistant 47 years ago. I've worked as an Administrator in Nursing Homes for 33 years as a VERY hands on leader. Just retired from a 50-60 hour/week position and planning to obtain a position to continue making a difference in the lives of frail and elderly. My facilities ranged in size from 21 beds to 184 and I lead by example having achieved Five Star ratings from the Center. We accomplished this by meeting residents wants and needs and creating environments that we would choose if in need of long term or rehab care. I am a very stable consistent person with longevity of 14, 13, 11 and most recently six years at facilities. Our caregivers delivered extremely high quality compassionate care which can only be attained by leading by example. Though my last years have not been full time hands on, my days were much longer than needed because of my desire to spend time assisting both residents and staff. Many hours of cont ed in dementia.
