I have 18 years experience in senior care. I cared for a brother and sister for 6 years. Took care of all of their personal needs, banking, phone calls, appointment setting, grocery shopping. Also handled all hiring of contractors for home repairs, lawn care, snow removal, etc. Experience dealing with hospice care, physical therapy, occupational therapy and health issues such as diabetes, COPD, dementia, Parkinson's disease and Coumadin checks. Most recently I cared for a senior for 4 years. Also handled all of her appointment setting, phone calls, office visits, light house cleaning, laundry, meal prep, personal care, showering and medications. I have always enjoyed seniors and very much enjoy the different aspects of their care.

Donna was great in caring for our mother. She took care of doctors appointments. Making sure mom was taking her medication. Also cook meals, cleaned , and did her laundry. We were very blessed to have her she became like one of our family.

Donna was a very good companion caregiver for our 91 year old.  She conversed, prepared simple meals , assisted with medications, and took her to appointments,  spending significant time with her on weekdays. She was also aware of changes in personality and the influence of various medications on her.   She has significant experience with elder care and can provide good insight into the changes shich occur to individuals suffering from dementia and other age related illness.  

Donna took very good care of my mom for three years. She was extremely dependable and in all that time she never missed a day.  

Donna cared for my elderly dad and mom for about a year or so. She is dependable, reliable, empathetic and truly, truly caring. She would communicate good days, she would communicate bad days, but no matter what, she would always communicate the truth about my parent's well being. I always felt comfortable when Donna was there, had piece of mind.

Whenever hiring someone from Care.com, you want to make sure the person is trustworthy - after all, you're inviting someone into your home to care for loved ones, be around sensitive topics and items, etc. Not only is Donna trustworthy,  she is respectful of privacy and able to adapt to fluid situations. At the end of the day, I can honestly say that not only was Donna my parent's caregiver, she was also a friend -- and I'm grateful for having found her at a time of need. Donna is a phenomenal person! She was a huge help in the months she was on board to help my parents. She was always willing to help in any way we asked, and took initiative to help in other ways. Any family would be lucky having Donna's support!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Donna. She saved my mother's life and in return the lives of my family. She is honest, caring, competent, funny, loyal and extremely knowledgeable on navigating the systems of care for the elderly.
