I have 17 years experience in senior care. I cared for a brother and sister for 6 years. Took care of all of their personal needs, banking, phone calls, appointment setting, grocery shopping. Also handled all hiring of contractors for home repairs, lawn care, snow removal, etc. Experience dealing with hospice care, physical therapy, occupational therapy and health issues such as diabetes, COPD, dementia, Parkinson's disease and Coumadin checks. Most recently I cared for a senior for 4 years. Also handled all of her appointment setting, phone calls, office visits, light house cleaning, laundry, meal prep, personal care, showering and medications. I have always enjoyed seniors and very much enjoy the different aspects of their care.
Most recent review
Donna was a very good companion caregiver for our 91 year old. She conversed, prepared simple meals , assisted with medications, and took her to appointments, spending significant time with her on weekdays. She was also aware of changes in personality and the influence of various medications on her. She has significant experience with elder care and can provide good insight into the changes shich occur to individuals suffering from dementia and other age related illness.
