Donna has been a true gift and godsend to our family. My father, who is normally quite independent, had surgery on the foot of his “good leg” and then had a balance issue, causing him to hurt himself a few days later. His mobility was suddenly gone. Hospital stay, skilled nursing stint, and then we bring him home and he *must* have someone with him because of his mobility issues on days when I go into my office. Enter Donna - she not only made absolutely certain my father’s needs were taken care of - bedside commode, urinals, bathing, dressing, moving with wheelchair and walker - she went above and cleaned his environment, was doing laundry, washing linens, making and remaking his bed, cooking real food for him for the meals she was here for. She was helping us to get stuff organized because Dad is temporarily living in a different (downstairs) bedroom and so we are just “adjusting” - but she has made it completely workable, safe, healthy, and clean. I am coming home to a safe, healthy, and more active father. Things like even my laundry, the pantry, and the refrigerator are suddenly cleaned and organized. She doesn’t sit down. She works constantly for the time she is here and is super efficient with her organization and caregiving. My father is flourishing under her care and my stress levels are way down because she is clearly taking such good care of my father. We feel truly blessed to have her in our home and in our lives.
