About Donna

Donna came into our lives when my Dad with dementia needed full time care. Donna took the afternoon shift and made my Dad smile big smiles everyday. She made conversation with him which is difficult for someone with speaking and memory problems. She made my Dad feel cared for, loved and also relevant. Donna would watch television with him, pray with him, and sometimes just hold his hand. Donna seemed to be able to pick up on his mood and give him exactly what he needed What my Dad loved most was when Donna would plan and prepare delicious home cooked meals for him without being asked. She even brought some ingredients from home! Donna felt more like a family member than hired help. Donna also did a few overnight shifts each week. She made my Dad feel secure and took care of any needs he had. They even giggled together at times! Donna's skill and true caring and loving nature came out during the difficult days when my Dad was sick with fever or when he had small anxiety or very intense anxiety. She had the right skills and calm, assuring tone that helped him through each situation. I am and always will be truly grateful for her efforts.
