Hi, I am a retired OT with 25 years' experienced in adult learning and as a School-based practitioner. I am TEFL Certified, (teaching English as a second language) and qualified to teach English in foreign countries. My customers are generally non-English speaking adults who want to learn the English language to better assimilate into the culture of the United States and gain favor for their asylum cases, work visas and citizenship. I am also a certified Handwriting Specialist, which is a bonus to your tutor experience with me. My tutor programming involves simplified reading and beginning grammatical structures for speaking English, learning English vocabulary and understanding spoken English. The work books involve puzzles and exercises to be completed in class and at home. There is focused conversation practice necessary for learning the English language. I also tutor young children of non-English speaking homes that focus on school readiness skills from pre-school to third grade.
