About Donna

My teaching career of 40+ years includes experience in grades K-7. Also, my 10-year experience as a Reading First coach and as an Instructional coach strengthened my knowledge of how to accommodate individual learning needs. Growing up on a farm in a small Montana town helped me to develop Christian values and a strong work ethic. Close interaction with my 14 grandchildren has given me an awareness and appreciation of developmental differences, unique challenges and giftedness in children. Communication with parents, guardians and students is essential. I provide regular progress updates to ensure individual goals are met. I can help with Math, English, Science, Test Preparation, Study Skills, and History for elementary and middle school students. My expertise is in Reading remediation and acceleration of skill levels. I have experience with IEPs and 504 Plans. Also, I am available to tutor at various locations, and I am comfortable being around family pets.
