About Dominique

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Dominique. After a year with our family caring for our daughter (now 2.5 years old), we feel we have not just found an outstanding nanny — we have found a true partner and an extraordinary person. One of the things we love most is that Dominique sends us photos and videos of our daughter throughout the day while we are at work. Seeing those little moments — a smile, a discovery, a funny expression — genuinely brightens our days. It is such a small thing, but it means the world. Dominique has an incredible gift for seeing the world through our daughter ’ s eyes. She understands her emotions deeply and helps her navigate the big feelings of toddlerhood with patience, empathy, and skill. Our daughter is a joyful, emotionally secure child, and we give Dominique enormous credit for that. Our daughter can be shy in larger groups, but Dominique has consistently and gently introduced her to new environments and social settings. The growth in her confidence has been remarkable. She is so much more comfortable with new people and places than she was a year ago, and that is Dominique ’ s doing. One of our favorite things Dominique has brought into our daughter ’ s life is a love of art. She found the most perfect class in a neighboring town — art, music, and other children her age. Our kitchen wall is now covered in her paintings and drawings, and she proudly points to each one and says, “I made that. ” We treasure it. Dominique ’ s safety awareness has been exceptional. She caught potential hazards in our home — like small toy parts — that we as first-time parents hadn ’t even noticed. She handles things like that quietly and professionally, and it gives us real peace of mind. Above all, Dominique is an incredible communicator. She shares specific daily stories about our daughter, offers thoughtful input on things like new foods and sleep routines, and we always feel completely in sync with her. There is never a gap. We are always on the same page. We originally sought Dominique for her French fluency, which has been amazing — our daughter now understands French and speaks colors, animals, and foods in a second language, keeping us connected to our family in Europe. But Dominique is also fluent in Spanish and English, which makes her truly one of a kind. She is courteous, helpful around the home during nap time, and has built such a bond with our daughter that she sometimes calls for Dominique over us at the end of the day. It always makes us laugh — and it says everything. We have been so fortunate to have Dominique in our lives. Our daughter has grown immeasurably — emotionally, socially, creatively, linguistically — and Dominique is at the center of so much of that.
