I have 12+ years as a CNA. I began in a skilled nursing facility for 5 years, transferred over to the hospice field for another 5 years, then ended going into private patient care when it was time for my parents needing care. I was honored to have taken care of them in their home until they passed, respectively, within 1 year of each other. I then returned to the hospice field for another 2 years then private patient care for 2 years. I am now at a skilled nursing facility. My skills are as listed-bathing, oral care, feeding, preparing regular or pureed meals, wound care, vitals, transfers, hoyer lift, sit to stand lift, oxygen use, light housekeeping pertaining to patient's area only, patient's laundry, medication reminder, companionship, suction machine, (non-diabetic only) nail care, hair trimming, shaving, going for walks. I love what I have been called to do and can provide exceptional, professional and personal references upon request.
