I have 5 kids and have been a host home provider for 12 years. Three people have lived with me at once, including one in a wheelchair. I did respite for many others. I like them to reach their fullest potential. I'm positive, energetic, and a problem solver. I like watching people grow and bring out their personalities. I am looking for a flexible job that utilizes my skills. I started caring for people with special needs when the DD agency, whose clients I was serving as a money manager, suddenly asked me in 2013 to house and care for a woman with down syndrome on an emergency basis. I like riding my bike, hiking, and kayaking with friends and family. I also love DIY projects. I am resourceful and can help you overcome many different obstacles and challenges. I am a registered QMAP with the state of Colorado, so I can safely administer medication. I like to discover a person's favorite things and incorporate that into my care. I'm able to remain calm in stressful situations.
