I have 3+ years of nanny experience mostly with infants but also with toddlers and had a time of great joy taking care of my elderly mother with dementia and my sisters grandchildren. So I have done a large range of care-giving but my most favorite is with infant babies. Safety is my #1 concern. Most families that I have worked for have appreciated this about me. You can never keep your eyes off a baby and think they will be OK. I will give you a recent example. I care for an 8 month old baby right now and I put him on a changing table to change his diapers. I always put the strap over him and the reason I do this is for his safety. At that very sweet age he could roll off that changing table if you leave it for any reason. It only takes a second and that child could flip over and fall head first onto the floor. Serious injury could occur and you never want to take anything for granted when it comes to a child's safety. Babies are a lot of fun! I like to cuddle them, read books to them and give them the best and safest care I know how.
