About Diahann

I am a licensed educator with six years of experience, a Master's Degree in Education, and a Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner certification. I currently teach Special Education at Barnstable United Elementary School. I specialize in structured literacy and individualized reading instruction for students with dyslexia, language-based learning and reading disabilities, multilingual learners needing explicit English phonology and orthography instruction, and students who need support with foundational reading skills, fluency, spelling, or comprehension. I began tutoring two years ago because my passion is helping children learn to read. I am disciplined, energetic, and humorous, and I always put my students' needs first. Outside of teaching, I enjoy exercising, reading, and spending time with family. I look forward to supporting your student!
