About Devyn

Hello! I am the mother of one kiddo, and have been helping to take care of children in my family forever. I taught my sibling to read and write when they were 2 and I was 5. I have worked as a DSP/caregiver for adults since age 18. Because of my background, I have completed training in first aid and CPR for all age groups multiple times. I am passionate about keeping people safe as they explore the world at their pace. Currently enrolled at LCC taking prerequisites towards the LPN program, but plan on continuing my education to include social work someday. I am particularly enjoying my class themed around developmental psychology. In addition to my required prereq, I passed a class called "Guidance of young children", which explores parenting and classroom interventions based on the theories of Erikson, Piaget, and Montessori.
