I have developed an approach to transformational development (based on research) that aligns grounded presence, listening to the heart and one's soul's calling, that I apply to children's growth and family support. I have a certification as a daycare Mom and hold a Ph. D. in psychology. My approach is heart-centered, incorporating nature, gratitude practices, creative expression, and dance. We arrived in Kauai and were uncertain how we would enjoy the activities we once did without a child. We have interviewed from Care.com previously for weekend assistance and had zero luck. We were almost certain history would repeat itself. We also tried the island agency and they never returned our email or call. Thankfully, Devi came through for our babysitting needs. Our daughter turned one during our vacation. It was a difficult decision to leave our daughter in the hands of someone we simply didn't know. The first day during the meet and greet, my daughter was in her arms within five minutes. She didn't cry when we left her either. Thought for sure there would be separation anxiety. But, there's a natural calmness to Devi, and my daughter loved her immediately. Devi is also reliable and on time. She has the ability to soothe children. I'd hire her again without hesitation.
