I am a graduate from JMU with a degree in Geographic Science: environmental sustainability, conservation, and development. I served in Peace Corps Cambodia for 3 years as an English teacher and trainer before moving to Nepal for disaster relief work. For the past 5 years I have worked in wilderness therapy programs and at Boys and Girls aid at a residential program to aid foster kids in social skills and schooling. I have been a caretaker/ nanny on and off since I was 14 years old. I am CPR/First Aid Certified, and am trained in non-violent crises intervention. I have experience with children and young adults ranging from ages 6 months-25 yrs old. I can help with homework and love engaging kids in as many outdoor activities as possible (bird watching, gardening, etc) and arts and crafts.
