About Deven

Hi, I'm originally from NC and have recently moved back. I've cared for my mother full time for more than a year after she was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, and for my grandmother, who was in her 80s. I've found I have an aptitude for caregiving. It's important to me to help adults maintain dignity while they're going through life changes and health crises. I'm comfortable with various aspects of caregiving, including bathing, toilet trips, changing soiled linens and laundry, light cooking and cleaning, giving medications, changing dressings, reading and conversing, running errands and taking trips to appointments. I previously served honorably in the Navy for several years. In my spare time, I love spending time with my dogs, gardening, reading and cooking.
